IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES (CIRES)


The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) is an interdisciplinary administrative unit (organized research unit) of the University of Colorado at Boulder About CU ] whose purpose is to foster research, teaching, and service in the environmental sciences. CIRES seeks to achieve the highest level of excellence in its work through the creation of an infrastructure and working environment that will attract and sustain innovative researchers and teachers and through close collaborations with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's research laboratories and other research partners both internal and external to the university About NOAA ] . CIRES is committed to broad, interactive capability across subdisciplines of the environmental sciences, including earth, atmospheric, cryospheric, life, and social sciences.
