CIRES Administration

CIRES aspires to be a community of scholars working to create and maintain a center of excellence in environmental science and education. CIRES is governed by a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and the University of Colorado at Boulder and by a Council of Fellows.

* The Executive Committee assists and advises the director in matters regarding day-to-day management of the institute and makes important decisions and policies affecting CIRES. The Members' Council was created in 1997 to act as an information and policy conduit between CIRES' leadership and the Institute's Members (Associate Scientists, Research Scientists, and Administrative Associates).
