Dana Anderson
Ph.D., University of Arizona ,1981
Professor, Physics

Research Interests: Real-time holographic systems, optical sensing and precision measurement, and atom optics.

Current research projects: Work on inertial sensing is centered around passive ring laser gyroscopic technology - particularly for ultra-high accuracy rotation sensing. If successful, this research may lead to a new experimental test of Einstein's Theory of General Relativity. The work also investigates new concepts in optical gyroscope design. Research in nonlinear optics aside from photo refractive materials currently centers upon nonlinear phenomena in optical fibers.
