Susanna J. Gross
Ph.D., Univ. of Colorado, Geophysics, 1993
CIRES Title: Research Scientist II, CU Title: Research Associate

Research Interests: Modeling of seismicity data, especially aftershock sequences, stress
transfer in the crust, the state of stress in the crust, and the physical processes of earthquake nucleation. I am also interested in statistical measures for evaluating models, especially models of seismicity and earthquake predictions.

Current research projects: I am developing the Stress Transfer and Nucleation model of seismicity, which uses observed mainshock sources and earthquake catalogs to evaluate a variety of earthquake triggering and stress models. I am studying both dynamic and static stress transfer models.
