Vijay Gupta
Ph.D., University of Arizona, 1973
Graduate Director, Hydrological Sciences Ph.D. Program; Professor, Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering

Research Interests: Statistical-dynamic studies of nonlinear processes of space-time rainfall; lowflows and floods; river networks; solute transport in multiscale saturated porous media; water-biota-energy coupling in global climate variability, hydrologic time series; mathematical theories of stochastic differential equations and Markov processes; point random fields; random cascades as scaling random fields; dynamical systems.

Current Research Projects: Scaling invariance theories of space-time variability in high and low river flows in drainage basins which combine the 3-D geometry of river networks with space-time variability in precipitation and runoff generation.
