Research Interests: Dynamics of high dimensional driven threshold systems; Pattern analysis of complex systems; numerical simulations of driven nonlinear earth systems; adaptation in complex systems.

Current Research Projects: Role of fault segmentation in earthquake dynamics; construction and validation of general earthquake models; analysis of laser altimetry data in Long Valley Caldera; earthquake forecasting using neural networks.
