Director and Professor, Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences

Research Interests: Low frequency atmospheric and ocean dynamics; ocean-atmosphere interactions; wave propagation through complex flows.

Current Research Projects: Investigating low-frequency dynamics of atmospheres and oceans and the interactions between the tropics and the extratropics; the low-frequency variability of monsoons; and general wave theory.
