Project: Oxygen isotopes in CO2: A window on terrestrial carbon and water cyclingChris Still’s research is focused on terrestrial ecosystems, biosphere-atmosphere interactions, carbon and water cycling, and the impact of environmental change on ecological systems. He seeks out and enjoys interdisciplinary collaborations to answer scientific questions, and is especially interested in questions and approaches that connect ecology and biogeochemistry with a range of disciplines including earth system science, hydrology, and atmospheric science. At CIRES, Still will study the dynamics in the oxygen isotope composition of water pools and fluxes within the Niwot Ridge forest and use constraints from these measurements to improve regional and global simulations of oxygen isotopes in atmospheric carbon dioxide.
