Classification by Crop Type

Supervised Classifications: The image below, of Morgan County, Colorado is classified to crop type using a multi-temporal image, which was created using three dates (July, September and October) of imagery from 1993. The vector polygons overlaid on the image delineate sand percentages. Soil polygons are from the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) State Soil Geographic (STATSGO) 1:250,000 soils database. The soil texture attributes are from Miller, D.A. and R.A. White, 1998: A Conterminous United States Multi-Layer Soil Characteristics Data Set for Regional Climate and Hydrology Modeling. “Earth Interactions”, 2.
