Graduate Research Fellowships with CIRES
To promote scholarship, research excellence, and scientific collaboration in students' careers,

NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL)—CIRES Graduate Research Fellowship Program. A competitive, educational award for entering students, designed to foster academic excellence and interactive research.

CIRES Graduate Research Fellowship Program. A program aimed to attract talented graduate students at the outset of their careers and to enable current Ph.D. students to complete and publish their research.

- AWARD: Full tuition, partial health insurance, half-time (50%) stipend during academic year and 100% stipend during the summer, and approved travel to one professional meeting.
- TERM: Master's students will be supported for up to two years and Ph.D. students for up to four years.
- ELIGIBILITY: Prospective MS and PhD students in select CU-Boulder department and programs

- AWARD: Tuition coverage, partial health insurance, half-time stipends during the academic year, and sometimes 100% salary during the summer.
- TERM: Students may be awarded a 50% research fellowship for one or two semesters, or for a full 12 months.
- ELIGIBILITY: Any current or prospective Ph.D. student advised by a CIRES Fellow
