Ocean and Atmosphere connecting Scientists, Teachers & Students

2005 Cruise:

January 15, 2005 (Saturday)

Things are going well. This is so fascinating, I've been talking with a scientist from Puerto Rico and she's told me about her research so I'll have plenty to write about. The scope of this project is amazing, but I've already come up with a few ideas for my students.

Today in Michigan they've closed I94 (major highway) due to ice and snow, while I'm hear in balmy Antigua. Believe me, it's enjoyable! Thanks for giving me the go ahead to have a little time for that, but I feel a greater sense of purpose here than roaming around, It's just amazing to see the scope of the project and to see the collaborative effort of everyone. It's been fantastic so far, and it's only day one! I'm looking forward to meeting Paquita.

Judy
