Ocean Interactions Raingauge ("tipping bucket") This is the ship's raingauge. Rain falls into the top of the device, and the weight of the rain is registered electronically. After it fills up, the rain pours out of the bottom (that's why they call they sometimes call this instrument a 'tipping bucket'). |
