2003 Cruise:

Science at Sea ~ Map ~ The Rob Brown Track

~The black diamonds are the ship's position at noon on the day noted. The blue diamonds are the TAO buoys to which we are headed.

We are finally on our way home....about 3 days steam to Panama, 24-36 hours to hold anchor and go through the canal, and another week to Charleston! I've plotted our homeward journey in green, including our trek down the 95W line of buoys. Everyone is wrapping up their data collection, and the work will begin to really analyze the data in the context of climate variability. It takes many months of data crunching and combinations of data sets by various investigators to make sense of a rich data set like we have acquired during this trip.
