Science at Sea ~ A day at Sea

Jeff and Brenda will describe what a typical day at sea is like for them.

Jeff's Typical Day at Sea

7:00 am:   Wake up. Have some coffee and breakfast.

8:00 am:  Check that the data is still flowing. Make any repairs.

9:00 am:   Launch a radiosonde balloon

10:00 am:   Work on improving the computer programs

11:00 am:   Lunch

12:00 pm:   Write up my experiences for Ocean Interactions

1:00 pm:   Continue to work on computer programs

2:00 pm>   Get some exercise in the workout room

3:00 pm:   Launch a radiosonde balloon

4:00 pm:   Clean the optics on our instruments with water

5:00 pm:   Dinner time

6:00 pm:   Watch a movie

7:00 pm:   Get up during the movie to go to the restroom. Come back into the lounge to find that someone has stolen your seat!

8:00 pm:   Play cards with Herb (the Wiper)

9:00 pm:   Launch a radiosonde balloon

10:00 pm:   Bedtime
