Mark S. McCaffrey
Mark S. McCaffrey is an Associate Scientist III at CIRES with a focus on science communication and education relating to climate, water and solar sciences. Mark is a co-author of the Essential Principles of Climate Literacy and co-founder of the Climate Literacy Network: http://www.cleanet.org/. He also co-founded the Boulder Area Sustainability Information Network and the Boulder Creek Watershed Initiative. In addition he was the lead author on the NOAA Paleo Perspective on Abrupt Climate Change, and has testified in front of Congress about the International Polar Year's education, outreach and communication efforts. He has a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.
He currently authors a Climate Literacy blog to share insights about climate literacy efforts from around the world.
