Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

General Information About the Department or Program

We study the ecology and evolutionary biology of organisms, communities and ecosystems; included among our strengths is research and teaching in biogeochemistry, ecosystem ecology, evolutionary and developmental biology, conservation biology and animal behavior. We offer the B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

Involvement in Environmental Education and Research

Many of our faculty carry joint affiliations with other CU programs in environmental studies, including the Environmental Studies Program, the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES), the CU Museum, and the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR).
