The use of time-resolved FTIR spectroscopy has allowed the observation of new organometallic-CO2 complexes. Photolysis of Rh(PMe3)2(CO)Cl in supercritical CO2 yields a transient neutral cyclometalloanhydride, Rh[C(O)OC(O)](PMe3)2Cl. This metalloanhydride cleanly decomposes back to the starting material. The reactions of this new species along with other transient metal-CO2 complexes will be presented.
