Solid acid is an excellent alternative to corrosive and dirty liquid acid. The use of solid acid plays an important role in green chemistry. However, the acidic properties of solid acid are limited by its chemical components and are difficult to be enhanced. Here, we present a novel plasma enhanced acidity of solid acid without changing chemical components. IR studies of pyridine adsorption have been conducted to confirm this unusual enhancement.
