Increasing Greenhouse Gas Concentrations in the Atmosphere

Evidence will be presented of modern increases of several important greenhouse gases. Spatial patterns in the atmosphere point to a number of important mechanisms controlling the atmospheric concentrations. The fundamental mechanism of greenhouse warming will be explained. The longevity of the "anomalous" man-made climate forcing is thousands of years if the global biogeochemical cycles continue to operate as they do at present.
