NSIDC Launches Year-Round Sea Ice Site with Maximum Report
The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) has launched Arctic Sea Ice News and Analysis, providing:
- Monthly scientific analysis year-round, with more frequent updates during the melt season or as conditions warrant
- High-resolution graphics -Daily images of near-real-time Arctic sea ice conditions -Previous news and analysis and general information about sea ice -RSS feed for automatic notification of new analyses.
This month's analysis includes information on maximum sea ice extent for
2008 and details on ice thickness and age as the melt season begins.
