Refract New Features and Bug Fixes
New features in v 1.1:
- using negative positions for shots will produce correct times at stations
beyond shots. (line fits are not really designed for this, though)
- depth of interface near cursor displayed at bottom of Section Window
- user can now specify a model in terms of depths under each shotpoint or
thicknesses under each shotpoint, in addition to the thickness and angle
under the forward shotpoint. This is changed in the Preferences Window.
- current choice of units, preferences now saved from session to session
on the same computer
- can now plot reduced travel times
Note that data files saved in v.1.0 with units of km, km/s, s will not be
read correctly in v 1.1
Problems in v1.0 fixed:
- saving/reading data/model in different units now works
- if forward time pick empty, then changing units will now change the reversed
time
- crash when changing number of geophones and then click on already-open
data window fixed
- changing the shot location now updates the data positions
- hiding model points
will now stay hidden
- if units were km, not m, then reading a data file and accepting
the changes would result in wrong unit. Fixed
- now prompted when reading a model with a different shot offset
- can now click on the angle of the top layer to change it after reading
in a model > 2 layers when previously only had one layer.
- when reading in a model with fewer layers than the model it is replacing,
the bottom halfspace no longer has an editable dip angle.
- changing number of first geophone no longer crashes the program
- error flags from problems in inverting lines in plot window improved several
ways
- added default suffix of .txt to file names when saving.
- expanded suffixes
for reading data files to text/plain types (includes more suffixes)
- Mac: Added
Mac file type when saving so that the file can be reread even if .txt suffix
dropped
- when plot window is first opened, it will force the model to be updated
so there is not some strange disconnect with any changes made in the model
window.
- loading a model but then declining to accept a change in the number of
geophones to what was stored will not produce a crash if the first geophone
number differed in the model file from what was already in memory
- number of first geophone now saved in data file, not model file
- RMS misfit in Data Window is updated when either a model or data file are
loaded
- rare hang when drawing layer labels in Section Window fixed
- changing significant figures in Preferences now updates Model Window immediately
- recompiled in RealBasic 2009v5.1 (should eliminate some OS problems)
