The map above allows comparison between P-wave tomography of SNEP+ dataset assuming a 1-D starting model, a 1-D starting mode but with Great Valley stations corrected for sediment, and an inversion starting from Josh Stachnik's ambient noise tomography above 55 km (converted from S to P with regression of Brocher (1995)). Heidi Reeg's tomography that is similar to her MS thesis (actually corrected for a 1 s error at some stations as used in AGU talks in Dec. 2008); this tomography is WRONG in that the SPE data from 1997 was replaced by accident with IASPEI predicted arrival times; it is included so that anybody who used the older tomography can determine differences that might affect their use of the tomography. Note that the ambient noise tomography is only provided for an area in the center of this map, so some artifacts are generated between it and the 1-D model assumed elsewhere. Other maps show inversions colocated with the ambient noise tomography.
