The Colorado Center for Chaos & Complexity (C4) was founded in January 1997 to support interdisciplinary education and research, focusing on nonlinear problems that demonstrate complex behavior from simple systems, and simple behavior from complex systems. C4 is administered through the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) and the Graduate School at the University of Colorado. The Interim Director of C4 is Professor Elizabeth (Liz) Bradley.
