Members of Canada's Parliament and Ministry of Natural Resources visited Swiss Camp on the Greenland ice sheet during the spring of 2008. The group spoke with CIRES Director Konrad Steffen and his graduate students about how climate change is likely to affect the Arctic over the next decades, as well as long-term funding needs for cryospheric research. "It was a great visit," remarked CU grad student Liam Colgan, who spearheaded the visit. "In retrospect, maybe we should have ordered them some ECW, or Extreme Cold Weather, gear."
