The Nordic Ozone Group

The Nordic countries, consisting of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland are organized into the Nordic Ozone Group (NOG). The head of NOG is presently Juhani Damski (FMI). Each country operates its own UV monitoring network, with strong cooperation between the scientists. NOG has yearly scientific meetings in the spring with participants from all countries usually represented. NOG has held an UV instrument intercomparison in the Canary Islands and has developed its own ozone database which is accessible over the internet.
