• Hydrologic forecasting and Data Assimilation in Snow Dominated regions

• A Pan-Arctic land surface retrospective simulation.

• The ARCSS-LAII (ATLAS) project. I'm undertaking that in the PAOS and CIRES departments at the University of Colorado, Boulder My focus is on large scale high latitude hydrology. Over the NH summer of 1998 we spent time at the Ivotuk Hills field camp and in the NH summer of 1999 we were at Council. I also worked in the field in winter/spring at Council (2001) and Barrow (2002). Overall, I've spent quite a bit of time travelling in high latitude areas

• Additionally, I am working on Land Surface Modeling - specifically PILPS Phase 2(d). This phase of PILPS involves simulations of parts of the Valdai catchment in Russia. Our main areas of investigation are snow and frozen soil processes.

Outdoor activities are where it's at. In the summer I try to climb as much as possible, while in the winter skiing is the main game. I like places that are cold and high. I also want to go to Antarctica !
