The objective in the class is to understand the principles of scientific enquiry in general, and that of geological enquiry in particular. By the end of the class you will be familiar with the methods we use to study the earth and the processes at work on the surface and at depth. The good news is that you will be able to recognize numerous geological features during the rest of your lives.
During each class there will be clicker questions on materials discussed that day and in previous days. The answers to these will count 20% towards your final score. There will also be two written quizzes (30%) , two homeworks (20%), and a final exam (30%).
2 Quizzes- (15% each ) quiz questions will resemble clicker questions in format
