The temple is similar in layout to that at Buniyar, though only the base of the surrounding courtyard has survived. The stone roof is missing and has not been replaced. The entrance archway is reported to have suffered minor damage in the 2005 Kashmir earthquake. The temple lies on a flat ancient river terrace near bed rock on the east side of the Jhelum valley.
