Sankaragaurisvara Temple can be found north of the road near the centre of Pathan.(34.1577 N, 74.5569 E

The temple is missing its roof and approximately one third of the massive stones that formed its north, east and west walls. The surviving stones have 0.5-1 m horizontal dimensions and are laid in courses approximately 0.5-1 m thick without cement. It is set within a fenced off garden area. The area has been extensively cleaned and the stonework is patched to prevent further deteriation. A few of the wall materials are placed around the perimeter of the lawn, and it is possible many more lie beneatht he flower beds and lawn.
