The chapters discussed in each class are shown in parenthesis (thus Ch.xx). Note that different editions of the book shift the chapters by one. The context of lecture and content of chapter should be obvious.

There is a lab (1020) , which gives you hand on experience in identifying rocks. This lecture course does not require you to take the lab. The lab is fun though and is recommended, now or later in your time at CU.
