Serial Ports

Strato can use either COM1 or COM2. By default COM1 is used, however, this setting can be changed by manually editing Strato.ini or during data recording (but before a launch detect) through the function key F11.
The default transmission parameters for the serial communication used both by Tmax and V2C are

300 baud
no parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit


The default transmission parameters for the serial communication used both by the Intermet RSB1 are

1200 baud
no parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit

The second serial port can be used to output the GPS information from the V2D + GPS interface or the external data xdata packets from the Intermet RSB1 radiosonde. The serial port configuration for the second port is

9600 baud
no parity
8 data bits
1 stop bit
