Our Commitment to Diversity
Diversity is fundamental to our success as a research organization committed to advancing our understanding of the global, regional, and local environments and the human relationship with those environments, for the benefit of society. In order to fully achieve this mission, CIRES must extend access and opportunity to students, researchers and partners across the full spectrum of identifies and backgrounds. Few organizations are as well-equipped to meet this challenge as CIRES. In addition to our superb scientists, support staff and Education and Outreach program, CIRES has initiated a new effort to support Diversity and Inclusion within our workforce. This initiative will focus on attracting broader participation in our organization and on building an inclusive work environment for all CIRES employees. Expanding participation and inclusivity in sciences requires our ongoing effort. Please contact Susan Sullivan at 303-492-5657 or email@example.com to discuss your diversity and inclusion interests and ideas. Some of the work that has been done by the Education and Outreach Program is highlighted below.
