Lauren Schmeisser

Research Interests

Aerosols, air quality, climate modeling, climate feedbacks

Current Research

Lauren uses surface in-situ aerosol optical property measurements to evaluate the representation of aerosol in the AeroCom suite of global climate models. In addition, she studies wildfire smoke plumes throughout the U.S. to evaluate the effects of atmospheric processing, fire radiative power, and biomass burning type on optical properties of smoke particles.
