Research Interests
Megan is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences working with Dr. Jennifer Kay (CIRES, ATOC) and Dr. Bradley Markle (INSTAAR, GEOL). She earned dual bachelor's degrees in Geology and Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a master's degree in Geology from the University of Wyoming.
Current Research
Megan studies the interactions between the atmosphere and the surface of the Antarctic and Greenland Ice Sheets. Her main tools for studying these interactions are in-situ ice density measurements, numerical models, atmospheric reanalyses, and satellite observations. Currently, Megan is using CloudSat to investigate precipitation events over the Greenland Ice Sheet.
