Research Interests
Laura is a Scientific Analyst within the NOAA Global Systems Laboratory (GSL) as well as the CIRES GSL Lead. She performs assessments of aviation weather forecast products for the Federal Aviation Administration. Her research focuses on developing novel verification techniques and metrics that capture operationally-relevant impacts. Prior to joining CIRES, Laura worked in both the private and government sectors, applying her problem solving and software development skills in a variety of research and data analysis roles. Outside of work, Laura enjoys hiking, board games, and cooking.
