The NOAA/ESRL Global Monitoring Laboratory and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, United States will be hosting the 15th Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN) Scientific Review and Workshop. The meeting will be held July 16-20, 2018 at the CIRES building on the University of Colorado campus.
All attendees must register to attend the workshop. To do so click the "Registration" tab above or the "Register Now" button.
NOTE: The deadline for accepting registrations was June 15, 2018. Similarly the deadline for submitting talk and/or poster titles and main author was also June 15, 2018. Send talk titles and main author in an email message to Chuck.Long@noaa.gov.
We have worked out discount pricing for four hotels in Boulder, near enough for walking to the meeting venue. Click on the "Lodging" tab above for links to these hotels for booking. In addition, one can also get day passes or "MYRIDE" refillable passes to ride the local busses. See the "Information" tab above for this and other useful information.
We will be offering a voluntary excursion on Wednesday afternoon that will transport by bus those interested to see the NOAA BSRN SURFRAD site at Table Mountain, north of Boulder. We will then take a tour of a local attraction "Celestial Seasonings" and end with free time to explore another Boulder landmark: the walking Pearl Street Mall. Bus transportation will be available on a rotating basis back to the four hotels. Those interested in participating please check the box register for the excursion so we can be sure to have enough bus spaces, as part of your registration.
On Wednesday evening we have made arrangements for special individual pricing for a group dinner at a local restaurant named "The Med" near Pearl Street Mall starting at 6:30 pm. Dinner will be at everyone's own expense. There will be a set cost for dinner established by the restaurant with costs between $38-$40 per person which will include a choice of one of three entrees, choice of soup or salad, plus tax and tip. Alcohol and other drinks will be charged separately. Bus transportation back to the four hotels with special BSRN arrangements will be available after the dinner. Again, those interested please register on the "Registration" page so we can get a head count for the restaurant folks and bus arrangements.
