Now that you all have an online professional profile, time to think about the best way to communicate your science to the outside world! Scientists have always had a hard time communicating their science to a non-specialist audience, and to provide highlights on the research they have been conducting. However, social medias provide an increasingly useful platform to broadcast your science to a broader audience, and inform people from around the world about the latest breakthroughs in your field.
In this interactive workshop, Katie Weeman and Katy Human (CIRES Communications) will present the most impactful social medias to use for science communication. They will cover how to best phrase the message you want to transmit, and how to reach as many people as possible.
