Kari Bowen hosted students at the NOAA building from the Morgan Community College STEM Club. The students took a tour at NOAA and especially enjoyed the opportunity to talk with National Weather Service forecasters. Kari talked about her personal experience as a forecaster, focusing on stories and data from the 2013 Boulder flood. Kari asked students to make some guesses about the data that was collected during that event, which spurred an engaged brainstorming session. She also shared personal experiences with transferring from a community college to a four-year institution.
