Statewide Efforts to Support Local Resilience in Colorado Communities

Join us for an installment of the Natural Hazards Resilience Teacher Professional Development Series brought to you by the HEART Force program and the Earth Force RISE Challenge

Kate Guibert, Rural Prosperity Manager for the Colorado Resiliency Office (part of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs) will share about her work in rural communities across the state. The Colorado Resiliency Office was started in 2013 after the Boulder floods, and continues to work with communities and government agencies to become stronger, safer and more resilient in the face of natural disaster and major challenges.

Kate will present for 30 minutes, then we will have 30 minutes for questions and discussion. Certificates for teacher professional development contact hours will be available for participants upon request.
