Brigitta is the program manager for We are Water. Brigitta has PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied geological sciences, paleoclimate, and paleoceanography. She first became interested in informal STEM education as a graduate student through a program that engaged students in out-of-classroom climate change learning through filmmaking. Brigitta is passionate about making environmental science accessible to everyone. Through her work, she strives to elevate the voices and knowledge of people who have been historically excluded from STEM fields and to center community perspectives in educational programming. Brigitta also works for the CIRES communications team, writing stories, managing social media, and creating content to highlight CIRES science.
