Annie Fudale

Annie is the Director of Finance for CIRES and has been a key contributor for seven years. With over 13 years of experience at the University of Colorado and over 20 years in finance and accounting, Annie brings a wealth of expertise in financial strategy and award management.

As Director of Finance, Annie supports a team of 15 professionals specializing in post-award administration and travel. She oversees CIRES' financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and expenditure management. Annie is instrumental in crafting financial strategies that address budget shortfalls and funding delays, ensuring the institute remains agile and fiscally sound. Her meticulous approach includes conducting monthly expenditure and funding reviews to align financial projections with CIRES' strategic goals.

Annie plays a critical role in managing CIRES' Cooperative Agreement with NOAA, the institute's largest and most important award. She collaborates with federal partners and CIRES Finance Managers to maintain fiscal compliance and uphold the agreement's terms and conditions.

Outside of work, Annie enjoys cultivating her love of indoor and outdoor plants, finding growth and balance in every aspect of life.
