Research Interests
Elizabeth Jimenez is an Operations Data Management Specialist at the NASA National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC). She operates and sustains existing NSIDC data systems in this role, including the NASA Earth Observing System Data Information System (EOSDIS) Core System and the NASA EOSDIS cloud data management system. She is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system integrity and performance issues, monitoring ingest, archive, and distribution processes, and developing scripts to enhance the automation of operational tasks.
With over 5 years of experience in data management across various research institutions, Elizabeth is dedicated to communicating best practices and collaborating with other projects within the center. Additionally, Elizabeth leads projects that impact the Data Operations team, working closely with colleagues within a matrixed environment to drive success.
Elizabeth enjoys mentoring aspiring professionals and believes in the importance of collaboration to make impactful data accessible to everyone.
