Shilpi Gupta

Shilpi Gupta is the Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer for NOAA's Science On a Sphere (SOS) at CIRES Education and Outreach. In this role, she leads development and implementation of new user-facing features and enhancements across the SOS Product Suite, contributing to both front and back-end development. She also manages the SOS Development team, overseeing technical direction, project priorities, and day-to-day development efforts.

In additional to her techinal work, Shilpi has contributed to two grant-funded projects exploring the intersection of science and art to amplify awareness and inspire behavior change for pressing climate change issues.

She holds a B.S. in Computer Science, a B.S. in Art Studio and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky. Shilpi is also an artist whose practice focuses on visual arts and performance.
