CIRES is home to four centers, which represent historic and current research foci. Our centers foster collaboration, facilitating partnerships between federal and academic entities. They also provide an identity and organizational structure for some of CIRES’ major research areas

Advancing scientific and societal understanding of the Earth System based on innovative remote sensing research.

National Snow and Ice Data Center

Advancing knowledge of Earth’s frozen regions through research, data management and distribution, and education.

 

North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center

Fostering innovative and applied research in support of tribal, federal, state, and local natural resource management and decision-making in the North Central region.
