Alex Kirst is a Software Developer and Customer Support Specialist for NOAA’s Science On a Sphere (SOS) at CIRES Education and Outreach. Most of his time is spent working with the SOS team to discuss, develop and implement new features for both the front end and back end of the system. Other time is spent communicating and working with SOS locations around the world in order to keep them up to date, help with hardware and software issues, and bring valuable insight and feedback back to the team for discussion. He has a BS in Computer Science from Quinnipiac University, near where he grew up in Connecticut. In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time playing music with his friends and taking advantage of the beautiful Boulder, Colorado mountains.
