Angela Knight

Angela has worked in the field of higher education HR since 2005.  She is proud to lead an amazing CIRES HR Team, which manages all aspects of HR operations including, organizational development, employee relations and engagement, recruitment/retention, compensation, performance management, and visa support.  She also serves as a strategic advisor to the CIRES Director and the CIRES Senior Management Team on personnel-related matters.  Prior to joining CIRES in 2019, Angela held people-oriented roles at CU Boulder’s Office of Faculty Affairs and Colorado Law School.

Angela holds a B.A. in Germanic Studies and French from Indiana University – Bloomington, and a M.A. in International Administration from the University of Denver.

Angela is dedicated to fostering employee success and enabling their ability to thrive within the workplace. She is passionate about working for a people-focused and mission-driven organization, like CIRES, that examines human impact on the earth.  

Outside of work, you will find her hanging out with her family, doing yoga, traveling and discovering new places, and doing water related activities whenever possible.
