  • the Arctic climate and how it's changing
  • Arctic energy budget measurements from satellites and ground instruments
  • perspectives from observations and models

Current Research

Dr. Sledd is currently studying the coupling between the atmospehre and snow on the Greenland ice sheet using high resolution observations from the percolation zone. Previosuly she investigated the surface energy budget over sea ice from the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) Field Campaign. This work used ground observations to quantify relationships between fluxes as well as the influence of environmental factors, e.g. atmospheric state, snow cover, sea ice depth.

About CECA

CECA connects and creates a supportive environment for graduate students and postdocs who come from various academic units to do research in CIRES.
