Research Interests
Audrey is a writer, editor, media relations professional, and social media strategist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC). She is deeply passionate about environmental conservation, climate mitigation, and making complex scientific topics accessible to a wide audience. Her career has spanned various sectors, including working in an academic/ scientific research environment at NSIDC, for non-profit organizations including World Wildlife Fund and the Environmental Defense Fund, and at an entertainment communications and marketing firm specializing in movie publicity in Washington, D.C.
Notable career highlights include developing communications materials on the impacts of global warming in the polar regions, advocating for climate action, leading brand marketing campaigns, coordinating press tours for A-list celebrities, managing red carpet events, and raising awareness about the critical issues facing our oceans, like plastic pollution and illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing.
Audrey has a master’s degree in public communication from American University and bachelor’s degrees in environmental science and journalism from SUNY Brockport.
