Brigitta Rongstad Strong

Brigitta is a science writer, communications specialist, and social media manager for CIRES. She is passionate about telling stories and making environmental science more accessible—and she really enjoys digging into data analytics and creating eye-catching visuals and graphics.

Previously, she was the program manager for the Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation's We are Water project, which brings a traveling exhibit and hands-on educational programming about local water issues to rural and Tribal libraries in the southwestern United States.

Brigitta has PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied geological sciences, paleoclimate, and paleoceanography, and a B.S. in geology and geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (go Bucky!).
