Originally from Greeley, Colorado, I attended Greeley West High School, Aims Community College, and the University of Northern Colorado, with a class here and there at CSU. I started my University service at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in 1974. I moved to Windsor in 1976, and then, making my way further west (slowly), I moved to Fort Collins in 1981, and ended up at CSU. I was with Colorado State University for over 23 years, more than 20 of them working for Professor Roger Pielke Sr. We moved our research group to the University of Colorado in 2006. I have 3 sons, Anthony, Bryan, and Jason, 5 grandsons (Carson, Christian, Jeremiah, Nathan, Caleb, and Josiah) and 2 randdaughters (Olivia and Hannah).
